Poll Fun

I put up a poll at one of my very favorite places to hang out http://www.stranger-things.net so I thought it might not be a bad place to put one up here either.  I’m just doing a eyeball check on the layout.  It’s one of those free “canned” ones you get from wordpress that I’ll probably tweak once I get hosted but I just need to know if I’m heading in the right direction.  I have a tendency to go a little dark and need to know if I need to make things a little lighter, not just in color, but lighter in the whole feel of the site.

Festival Fun

Last Saturday:  After I got my hair cut and colored (I went from brown to a very, VERY auburn color) we went over to the festival in Georgetown.  We found a painting for my Christmas present that eerily reminded me of my grandfather’s old place before he passed away, God Rest His Soul.

I kept listening to live music coming from somewhere and just kept wandering and meandering around until I found it.  It was a great band and  I wanted one of their cd’s really bad but Tom just dropped money for my painting and if I had asked for more stuff he would have killed me for sure.  Well, Matt in the band, GAVE me one of their cd’s and wished me a Merry Christmas.  Can you believe it?  You just don’t find good souls like that anymore.

Whew!

I think I am getting the hang of this blogging thing.  All I have to do now is to start making up my pages so I can getting ready for full upload in January.  I think for December I’m still going to take a stab at btvs and angel just so I don’t have so much to do in January.  Btw, I got this graphic header off of the net somewhere and I don’t know where I got it.  If you spot it somewhere, let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.  I’ll take a few passes myself to see if it pops up on any of my searches.  Thanks for all of your support and for hanging in there.

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, here I sit, playing with my blogger.  None of this is permanent though.  I’m still reconstructing the whole entire site, but at least what I have will hopefully be useful enough for downloads.

I hope everyone is having a really great turkey day and have been able to spend quality time with your family.  I have to travel a long way to visit one family tomorrow and another one on Sunday.  At least we’ll have a short respite in between travels.

I am truly excited to get the site up and running!  Leave me some comments and let me know what you think about blogging and making my blog the initial home page.  Doing that will make it searchable in the tags area so you can find your multimedia hopefully that much faster.  I can’t wait to hear from you.
